Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts

The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts (or simply Presanctified Liturgy) is a liturgical service for the distribution of the Holy Gifts on some of the weekdays of Great Lent. The service consists of Vespers combined with additional prayers and communion. As much as possible, the Orthodox tradition encourages us to fast in anticipation of this evening eucharistic service.
