St. John the Baptist has an active volunteer youth group for ages 11 – 17 that is open to young people from both the Ukrainian and English Divine Liturgy.
Our activities include fundraisers (e.g., Ride for Refuge), going on retreats and hikes, playing together, movie nights, catechesis (e.g., Catholicism series by Bishop Robert Barron; St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body; DOCAT or the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church; the Ukrainian Catholic catechism, Christ — Our Pascha), discussion, prayer, and worshiping together through the liturgies of our Byzantine tradition.
We also co-host youth group events with our sister parishes of St. George’s (Roman Catholic), Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Ordinariate), and St. Mother Teresa (Syro-Malabar).
Please contact Landon Coleman, Jasmine Butcher or Quinton Peralta for more information.
